Course Troubleshooting and Commissioning Pneumatic Conveying System
Overview: Delegates will look at the setting up and commissioning of pneumatic conveying systems. This course is a ’Hands on’ fully practical session using the pneumatic conveying lines and rotary valves in the on-site laboratories in Chatham. Subjects covered: * The practical challenge of starting up systems on site and making sure they work as the designer intended; * Understand the key signals to look out for that tell you how the system is operating; * Avoiding pitfalls that can lead to slow start up, blockages etc; * How to know when the system is operating as intended; * Ensuring the system is optimised around the users priority requirements eg. minimum energy usage/ particle blockage / system wear; * It also covers lean and dense phase, rotary valves, blow tanks and various air supply types Course fee: £915 per delegate Venue: Chatham, Kent Contact: Caroline Chapman

Webinar: Digital Twinning in Pneumatic Conveying
Free webinar: Leveraging virtual models with a digital representation of a physical object or system to improve performance and efficiency. Friday 24 March 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 GMT, Online Presenter: Chanaka Prasad Chanaka is currently undertaking a PhD programme at the Wolfson Centre sponsored by Schenck Process UK Ltd. His project relates to Digital Twin technology, which refers to the digital representation of a physical object or system and has a long history that has evolved alongside Industry 4.0. Different Digital Twin architectures are used in various industries, depending on the specific needs and requirements of the application. Recently, the Wolfson Centre started applying digital twinning in the field of pneumatic conveying, which involves transporting bulk materials through pipelines using pressurized air. Digital Twin technology is used to create a virtual representation of a pneumatic conveying system that can be used for various purposes, including real-time monitoring, control, proactive and reactive operations, performance optimization, fault detection, and maintenance prediction.
